Neverwork seems to be one of the new up n coming artists doing more traditional stencil work in 10's on canvas but also some cool one offs as well. One offs arent cheap as chips (especially the large ones with shipping), but the prints and smaller canvai (sp?) are. He was exhibited at AMUTI last year and Ive bought some of his stuff as I really quite liked it and thought it was colourful and amusing and would look cool with my other stuff. Ive yet to get it here as its a vast lump but it will come over soon... Catch him on: www.duck-artshop.com/acatalog/neverwork2.htmland www.hipartgallery.com/artists/Neverwork/index.aspMy TV canvas's: Anyone else got any of his work?

Got Neverwork to knock me this up. Love the message. The layering and depth of his stenciling is reminiscent of early Faile. The neverwork tag is superb. He clearly has a lot of talent. Be interested to see your t'others Jon. Good heads up for very affordable art, when so many are flying way to high for my pocket.

I'm not a Neverwork fan, but I do like the 'If you pay peanuts' piece.

Ok hot off the posties bike.... Im loving these, hope you like... These were from the recent exhibition that DuckArt put on at Amuti. I think Neverwork is doing some great stuff as he is also developing a couple of different styles and that is working really well.

Very nice Jon I think the appeal is that they are just SO street in comparison to a lot of what we look at and buy Loving grungey. I believe the topless chick was created by scratching away the paint to reveal paper fibre and create the image??? if so do you get a sense of this from the print? Amazing if so and good to see another technique

Simon, Agreed about the street feel.
ISTR youre right about the original, but the print isnt like that really... It has a more charocal / oil crayon feel to it with the image coming thru in the big strokes of the hand, then a bit of rubbing for the infil. Simple and effective I reckon. It lacks detail but I dont think it was meant to have any, more it has the feeling of a preparatory sketch IYKWIM.

I know nothing about this guy or his work, 1st time i've seen it I think. I got to say I like several of the images and "DUC ltd ed " print reminds me a lot of Micallef, a touch of the Dirty Deluxe about that piece, that's a compliment not a critisism by the way. Perhaps it's the charcoal / tits out thing makes me think of DD & Micallef..I don't know but I like it
