Urban art space aMBUSH Gallery, the folks behind Australia’s first-ever street art auction are bringing four of Australia’s most individual street artists together at Cockle Bay Wharf, for the second instalment of Project 5 – a charitable public live art and music event.
Presenting Sydney with a showcase of groundbreaking street art, the Cockle Bay shores at Darling Harbour will be transformed into a live art work bench for internationally renowned Australian street artists - Anthony Lister, Meggs, Ears and Webuyyourkids; complete with Future Classic deejays on hand to crank out tunes.
From Friday 20 August 6-9pm, and running across the weekend between 12-3pm, the three day outdoor event is a chance to see these cutting edge creatives hard at play. Kick back and enjoy being part of the experience as the artists let loose with spray paints, stencils and brushes on four large 2.4m x 1.0m panels.

The finished one-off works will be sold at Leonard Joel auction house in Double Bay, October 14 (6-9pm) - Australia’s second only ever street art auction. All proceeds from the auction will go to charitable arts and media organization Information and Cultural Exchange (I.C.E), who run creative arts programs for disadvantage youth in Western Sydney.
aMBUSH Gallery’s Bill Dimas said, “It’s a really fun weekend both the artists and Sydneysiders can enjoy, with amazing street art in creation and great tunes. It’s also a really unique opportunity.”
“With street art literally bursting into mainstream contemporary culture across so many platforms, these artists are essentially driving the direction of art and culture in Australia to a large degree right now. They are also etching out a name in the global arts community, with just as much potential as Banksy and Fafi to explode,” Dimas adds.
