So i was wondering how you guys go about hanging your box canvases? I've got a few now and i;ve never had any before now so i have no idea how to hang them.
The ones i have do not have any wire attached.
So do you guys go to the local framers and get some wire attached to the back? or have some cool wall fasteners i should know about?
Cheers Cam

Gotta couple hanging on a nail They havent been there for long but I think jonw or gbh mentioned they do get dusty and its probably worth getting them enclosed. Guess it depends how much they were and how much spare (if there is such a thing?) cash you have. Hervyn (?spelling) over on the dark side has dunders avatar as a canvas framed in a black swept frame that looks frickin stunning. Well worth having a look at. Never thought of framing canvas until I saw this baby. Be interested to hear/see what you do

Its an interesting thing... some of mine are strung and some are not. If not i use the screw/nail and just hang it. That was fine when they were worthless I guess... hmm.... Id love a good frame and looked at some in a gallery up in Blackheath at the weekend with a thin frame that was lightly stepped and sat next to the canvas, but had no glass. looked good but not 'complelling' as such.
A good light dust with one of those nylon 'feather' dusters works ok. you could vac it as well i guess.... be careful tho...

Anyone have any blurb sources of artrack (?), you know where you can hang frames/canvas on nylon wire. Presumably it can hold a fair bit of weight? Thanks in advance H

Thanks gbh do you use nylon strings? do ya think they are strong enough to hang say 6 big heavy gold swept plaster frames one below each other and maybe 3 across? Presume you can dynabolt (?) the track in, its the dangly bits that worry me and the hooks that attach to it. Cant remember from your set up how laden they are.

yep, the nylon string is strong as hell
no way you would get 3 across and 6 down on one track though (unless they are small frames)

Thanks Thats some wall you have there. Never tire of seeing it Rackings the way to go and judging from that bend at the ends they do take some weight. Hoping to use it up the stair way and the 6 would be on a couple of lengths, maybe 3.
