Hi GBH.. Me and my mate popped in last night for a look and a beer early on .. Not many people there, not sure if it picked up later. Whats your take on the Gallery mate?? I wasn't really impressed, they need to frame all the prints - its far more professional and will appeal more to the punters... most were just hung on cables?? and overpriced?? I think the 'Shell for Oil' was $1000!!. But at least there is a Gallery I suppose which caters for Urban Art.. I am not much of a Banksy fan but one of my favourites 'Stop & search' was there, so it was nice to see that in the flesh, really impressed me.. so that was worth the visit. speak later

Too late a night for a school night! Good to catch up though, been way too long. Shame Daniel John's didnt stay longer, well some of his party anyway! Sorry gadget, missed your call (private #, so no idea), working late and as a result got there late. Thanks for the effort though, see you at carriage works? The crowds were pretty thin even at 8.30-9pm. I think they need to address their advertising and get more of a blitz happening. Like the gallery though, its really nice to see some of these prints in the flesh.

I have the worst hang-over thanks to Doer, GBH and Holden! Spanish beer leaves you feeling terrible the next day. Its like the Thai beer Singha. Shocking...
The S&S was sold last night, I think the price tag on it was $8500.

gadget, wish we'd seen you there, we could have done with some more drinking partners we were up the road at Bentley Bar sitting outside and making the place look dirty
UU is always on the $$ side. As we were talking about last night, probably not right for them to be targeting buyers like as as we most likely know the "non-retail" pricing. Also, I have never been a massive fan of the work that comes out of Souled Out, one or two pieces sure, have hit the nail on the head but the remainder IMHO looks quite school boyish (i think someone else mentioned this as well last night).
I felt it was a bit of an average turnout as well, I would have loved to have seen it heaving.
anyway, who am I to talk? not like I have my own gallery space that throws crazy opening parties...
8+)

I think the gallery will get popular as more people are bound to get into this 'Fetish' (i laughed when i read that from one of the guys on another thread), some truth though. Take it easy guys... speak later

Just had a look at lunch time. some nice stuff there. Cannot believe the Bomb Hungers for $22k they also have a signed Pulp Fiction for $8000 i think it was and unsigned one... didn't get the price and they also have a back door one for $1500. The framed unsigned trolleys was $3900 which translates to something like 1800GBP Really dig the LV child prints though, first time i've seen in the flesh
