Now that is very tasty. Love the soft pastels and there seems to be a great deal of texture in the piece too. The layering of man on top of the abstract really works for me. You must be well happy. They certainly work big dont they. Size matters Well done

I think with good head, its all in the eyes. With Ears portraiture despite the strong lines, there is a vulnerability there that I like. Best shown in his latest one, but I see it with yours gbh too Great spray work too

it's in Leichhardt, around the corner form my place
looks great in person. The red gun is a bit "listeresque". Dan should consider this I believe as I have heard more than a few murmurs from the Lister camp re Ears "biting" his style

I cant see Lister being down on Dan but yeah others can stir it with biting comments. Hope Dan sees this and is cool with handling it. Nice to see something pop (lol) in Leichardt

Agree with the gun gbh (and that red star) but hey there's many people using this type of iconography. Anyone seen that Basquiat type dude, Johnny Romeo? Very similar again in part but has made it his own (altho I find his stuff a tad contrived, almost too cool for school), and most agree with you jonw that Ears just moves on, forwards and experiments. As I said I liked this its new for them and isnt al about Eras, Max Berry shows he can go big too and for me works. inner, inner westies rule

To be honest I wish there was more work we could show from these guys, Im a huge Ears fan Unfortunately they've gone all gallery on us! What ever happened to street art?? They have a good turn around at the artery but prefer it big, free, outdoors and illegal. With a gallery a short hop from the cop shop i guess you cant do so much on the street anymore
